Description

The release of our double-sided decimal coin mats marks the launch of a brand new product line developed and offered exclusively by Canadian Coin News, Canada’s premier source of information about numismatic collectibles.

Each mat is made from chemically inert polystyrene that’s safe for working with your collection (or even long-term storage, if you happen to leave a coin sitting on one for a while). With seven Canadian circulation denominations covering nine mats in total – two each for the 25-cent and $1 coins. They are sized to fit protective sheets for three-ring binders (sold separately).

Sourced from the Royal Canadian Mint and CCN’s Trends price guide, which marks its 58th anniversary in 2021, the information on each mat offers a reliable one-page snapshot of Canada’s circulation coin history.

Each mat measures 8.125 inches by 10.75 inches (vertical) and lists its respective denomination’s historical designs, mintages, specifications and major varieties complete with crystal-clear images. The mats have been sized to fit protective sheets for store in three-ring binders (available extra).

Because of the large number of major designs and varieties for both the 25-cent and $1 denominations, these coins are shown across two mats (the 1935-86 and 1987-2020 $1 coins, as well as the 1870-1991 and 1992-2020 25-cent coins, are all on separate mats). All other denominations – one cent, five cents, 10 cents, 50 cents and $2 – are featured on a single mat.
